What people ask us
I heard scratching in the walls. Is it mice?
Possibly mice, but rats, squirrels, and even birds sound similar. Timing helps: mice and rats are active at night, squirrels at dawn and dusk. An inspection identifies the animal by droppings, gnaw marks, and entry points, and the answer changes the treatment.
Why do I still have mice after setting traps?
Traps catch individuals; they do not stop the entry points or the breeding. A pair of mice becomes dozens in a season. Lasting control combines trapping, strategic baiting, and sealing every gap larger than a pencil.
What is rodent exclusion?
Exclusion is the permanent half of rodent control: sealing foundation gaps, utility penetrations, vents, and rooflines with steel and rodent-proof materials so the next mouse never gets in. We inspect, seal, and warranty the work.
Are rodent droppings dangerous?
Treat them with respect. Deer mouse droppings in Utah can carry hantavirus, so never dry-sweep or vacuum droppings in enclosed spaces. Ventilate, wet down with disinfectant, and wear gloves, or let our crew handle cleanout safely.
